Brief Description

The « Family Counselling Centre » is a new programme that A.S.I.S. has launched in the fourth quarter of 2007. The programme starts from the actual social realities and needs of some disadvantaged groups in Bucharest, makes use of and turns into value the professional experience previously acquired by our social workers.
During the previous years our organization focused with priority on the social integration of youngsters emancipated from placement centres as well as of street children, teenagers and youngsters, through personalized projects. Through this new programme A.S.I.S. had extended its support and assistance to those youngsters’ families as well, in order to enable the youngsters to resume the relations with their families for a possible future family reintegration.
In the mean time, the programme also addresses other families in need, whom we provide with personalized support and counselling in order to overcome the difficulties they face and develop their skills for an independent life, by acting mainly on the causes that generate the risk of social marginalization/exclusion.
