Activities

  • The field activity is carried on by the A.S.I.S. teams of social workers with a purpose to: identify the potential beneficiaries; define and assess the difficulties they are confronted with as well as their real and concrete needs; to present the offer of information, counselling and social care services of the Centre; to accompany the potential beneficiaries to the Centre and help them become familiar with the environment, services and staff of the Centre.
  • The selection of the beneficiaries from amongst the target groups which the programme is focused on is based mainly on their firm and persistent desire to improve the quality of their life, to overcome or minimize the risk of social marginalization/exclusion by actively participating to the elaboration and implementation of personalized assistance programmes to this purpose.
  • Concluding the programme participation agreement with the beneficiaries.
  • Informing, counselling and training the beneficiaries, both adults and children, on: the relations within the family and the community; the civil rights, obligations and responsibilities and sources of support; medical-sanitary prophylaxis; educational and vocational guidance, resuming the interrupted education; professional training and job finding; basic computer and Internet knowledge; writing an official request, a resume, etc.; participation to an interview; other institutions, authorities, organizations and services to which they could ask for assistance in solving specific problems, with the support of A.S.I.S.
  • Elaborating and carrying on, with the beneficiaries’ agreement and direct and active participation, of individualized programmes of assistance and intervention for overcoming the situation of underprivileged, adjusted to the needs and characteristics of each beneficiary; information and support for solving the domicile problems; obtaining identity papers; solving health problems; solving some problems with the authorities; carrying on/ completing the education and professional training; finding and getting a job.
  • Carrying on social inquiries with a purpose to better adjust the personalized intervention programmes to each beneficiary’s concrete situation and needs.
  • Socializing and leisure activities with the beneficiaries.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the implementation and results of the individual projects which should lead to the beneficiaries’ progress, to overcoming the situation of underprivileged, of social marginalization and exclusion, to social (re)integration and an independent life.
